Filamentcolors.xyz is a digital catalog of filament from around the globe, curated with the purpose of helping people find the perfect colors for their project. We print and photograph every filament under the same conditions, allowing users to compare different colors directly. We also measure the color and report this as a hex color, and use that to calculate complementary colors, similar filaments, and even similar colors in other materials to help users perfectly plan their projects. We’re a hobby project and always growing through filament donations and partnerships, so keep checking back to find your favorite filaments!

Those looking for a sample spooler, MadMonkey designed this one and it's been my favorite so far https://www.printables.com/model/36621-expandable-sample-spool-holder

DSK has also made a sample spool specifically to fit the samples from the new machine: https://www.printables.com/model/428314-sample-spool-snap

Accessories for this month were last minute finds as the stuff I ordered didn't arrive in time due to the Holidays in China so I got something that was in budget - hopefully you'll find it useful!

Project

+Nano version of the Maker Box received an ESP32-WROOM

Barilla Passive Cooking Device

This was supposed to be for November since it involves cooking but well... Chinese Holidays... lol

The Arduino BLE's were way too expensive to include as the control board, so the awesome DSK modified the files again to fit the ESP32-WROOM's that I include in the boxes. If you want to use the original Arduino BLE you can find them here.

When you go to the Barilla Passive Cooking page, be sure to click on the "Device" tab and it will have a PDF file with instructions and link to the code.

If you're using the ESP32 board, the code below I've switched to pin 14

Kit Includes:

  • Glass Bead Thermistor
  • Slide Switch
  • Resistor
  • Capacitor
  • 4 x 3.2mm Magnets
  • Nylon Ribbon
  • Battery Pack
  • High Temp Silicone Wire
  • 2Mx8 Screw
