Filamentcolors.xyz is a digital catalog of filament from around the globe, curated with the purpose of helping people find the perfect colors for their project. We print and photograph every filament under the same conditions, allowing users to compare different colors directly. We also measure the color and report this as a hex color, and use that to calculate complementary colors, similar filaments, and even similar colors in other materials to help users perfectly plan their projects. We’re a hobby project and always growing through filament donations and partnerships, so keep checking back to find your favorite filaments!

+Nano version of the Maker Box received an ESP32-WROOM

I've been wanting to do a Zoetrope for a while now, but couldn't find one that I thought was doable as a project. I've also gotten a lot of requests for a turntable as a project over the years... well... When I saw APyroDesign post his 3D Printed slinky, I knew I had to do something lol

So I came up with this project on my own, fully tested it.. and while it's not 100% perfect, I think it's super cool! You can create the Zoetrope or leave off the LED and use one of the turntables. I've provided 2 turntable beds and 2 versions of the case depending on if you want the power switch in the front or on the bottom.

Kit Includes:

• 12v 60RPM Motor
• Motor Speed Controller
• NE555 Pulse Frequency Duty Cycle Module
• 20mm Rocker Switch
• 12v Pre-Wired White LED
• Power Plug Adapter
• 12v Power Supply
• Jumper Wires
• 7 x M2x6 Screws

No programming is needed this month, it's all electronic modules controlled.

Wiring: - Refer to image and video

- on Power Adapter connects to: Black wire on LED, GND on NE555, V- on Motor Speed Controller

+ on Power Adapter connects to 20mm Button

20mm button connects to VCC on NE555, V+ on Motor Speed Controller

Red on motor connects to M+ on Motor Speed Controller

Black on motor connects to M- on Motor Speed Controller

Once wired, plug it in and verify motor is spinning and LED is flashing. Use the motor speed controller to turn off motor for now. Turn the screw on the right blue component on the NE555 clockwise until the LED turns off and stops flashing, then slowly turn it counter clockwise until the LED starts flashing again. Then turn the screw on the left blue component of the NE555 until you get a nice quick strobe effect with the LED. Put the lid on the case and attached the zoetrope spinner to the motor. Turn the motor on and adjust the speed until you see the animation under the light of the slinky going down the stairs.

For further assembly instructions, please watch the video.

When you go to download the Slinky Spinner, you only need to print the spinner itself, not the rest of the doodads used to hold the bearing in place as I have a different adapter for connecting it to the motor. Also, I think since I developed this APyroDesign released the Ball Maze one and while the new cap will work with it, I haven't tested it with his adapter.
